The narrator stopped at Chanderghat to buy a bathing soap. He ran towards the shop and hurriedly came back having purchased the bathing soap and sat-upon the bike of an stranger. Due to darkness by mistake he carried to the narrator by mistake to his destination.
लेखक चन्दरघाट पर नहाने का साबुन लेने के लिए रुका। वह जल्दी से दुकान की ओर दौडा तथा नहाने का साबुन लेकर आ गया तथा एक अजनबी की बाइक की पिछली सीट पर बैठ गया। अंधेरे के कारण वह लेखक को गलती से उसके गंतव्य स्थान तक ले गया।

On reaching Law College the narrator found that the bike had crossed his destination and speedily going towards Tarnaka. Then the narrator shouted to stop there and not go further to the bike rider.
लॉ कॉलेज पहुँचने पर लेखक ने पाया कि बाईक उसकी मंजिल को पार करके आगे निकल चुकी थी तथा तारनाका की तरफ बढ़ रही थी। तभी लेखक चिल्लाया और वहीं रुकने के लिए कहा तथा बाईक सवार को आगे न जाने के लिए कहा।

Balraj and his wife were restive because they had made a plan of going to see a movie. But the presence of the narrator made them restive because they were getting delay and performing their hospitality speedly.
बलराज तथा उसकी पत्नी शांत बैठने में असमर्थ थे क्योंकि वे फिल्म देखने जाने की योजना बना चुके थे। लेकिन लेखक की उपस्थिति उन्हें बेचैन कर रही थी क्योंकि उन्हें देर हो रही थी तथा वे तेजी से अपनी मेहमाननवाजी कर रहे थे।

What makes the story humourous?
कहानी को क्या हास्यप्रद बना देता है?
Answer:
As soon as the author approaches the home of his friend Balraj, he finds them active and extra busy but they show all the hospitality. When the author desires to return, his friend proposes to drop him at the university. He promises his wife to return within five minutes but it takes half an hour to cover the one side way. Therefore, Balraj will take one hour to return and what will happen when he explains the difference of delay of fifty five minutes.
It compels the readers to laugh by thinking at the condition of his friend. After it, the story becomes more funny when the author gets down at Chanderghat to buy a soap. After buying the soap quickly, he sits upon a bike and the bike goes to the destination. The author finds that the bike has crossed his destination, he shouts to stop there and he gets down. Then they look at each other and say – “Oh, no! But then where is Mallu ?” Oh, “no! But then where is Ballu ?” Here the story becomes the most laughable.
जैसे ही लेखक अपने दोस्त बलराज के घर पहुँचता है वह उन्हें सजग व अतिरिक्त व्यस्त पाता है। लेकिन वे पूरी मेहमाननवाजी करते हैं। लेखक के लौटने की इच्छा करने पर उसका मित्र उसे विश्वविद्यालय छोड़ने का प्रस्ताव करता है। वह अपनी पत्नी से पाँच मिनट में लौटने का वादा करता है। लेकिन उसके घर से एक तरफ के रास्ते को पूरा करने में आधा घण्टा लगता है। अतः बलराज को लौटने में एक घण्टा लगेगा और क्या होगा जब वह पचपन मिनट की देरी के अन्तर को समझाएगा।
उसके मित्र की दशा के बारे में सोचकर यह पाठकों को हँसने पर बाध्य कर देता है। इसके बाद कहानी अधिक हास्यप्रद तब हो जाती है जब लेखक साबुन खरीदने को चन्दरघाट पर उतरता है। वह बहुत शीघ्रता से साबुन खरीदकर तेजी से एक बाइक पर बैठ जाता है और वह बाइक तेजी से उसकी मंजिल की तरफ चल पड़ती है। उसके गंतव्य से आगे निकलने पर वह बाइक रुकवाता है तथा उतर जाता है। फिर वे एक-दूसरे को देखकर बोलते हैं-‘ओह, नहीं ! तो मल्लू कहाँ है?’ ‘ओह, नहीं ! तो बल्लू कहाँ है?’ यहाँ कहानी सबसे अधिक हास्यप्रद हो जाती है।

Both the narrator and Balraj play the role of the main character in the story. The quality of taking quick decision makes him the cause of humour, which was to force to the author to drive him on his bike. Although he had no time and he had made a plan to go to movie together his family, but he sacrificed his personal pleasure for his friendship. In this same way the author goes to his house as his family member and enjoys their hospitality perfectly. It shows the sense of dedication for others. In this way we find equal sense of dedication in both friends. It shows the sense of love, pity, equality and perfect understanding. It clears them ideal person whose company can create humour anywhere and make friends easily.

The visit of the author becomes memorable for him together his friend at his home in the old Hyderabad because he and his presence made in trouble to his friend and he himself becomes the cause of trouble and humour when he is dropped by a stranger inspite of his friend at his destination.
लेखक की उसके दोस्त के साथ पुराने हैदराबाद में उसके घर पर हुई मुलाकात लेखक के लिए यादगार बन जाती है। क्योंकि वह और उसकी उपस्थिति उसके दोस्त को परेशानी में डाल देती है तथा लेखक स्वयं परेशानी का कारण बन जाता है तथा हास्य का कारण बन जाता है, जब उसके दोस्त के बजाय किसी अजनबी व्यक्ति के द्वारा उसके गन्तव्य पर उसे छोड़ा जाता है।

It is said that the campus of Osmania University remains full of snakes. These snakes becomes more troublesome when it becomes dark and the snakes attack inside the room of the faculties and the staff members. So it is safe to reach at the campus before complete darkness and the snakes are called snake professors.
ऐसा कहा जाता है कि उसमानिया यूनिवर्सिटी का प्राँगण सांपों से भरा रहता है। ये सांप और ज्यादा परेशानी का कारण बन जाते हैं जब अंधेरा हो जाता है तथा ये साँप विषय विशेषज्ञों तथा कर्मचारी कक्षों में हमला बोल देते हैं। इसलिए पूर्ण अंधेरा होने से पहले क्षेत्र में पहुँचना सुरक्षित होता है तथा यहाँ सांपों को नाग व्याख्याता के नाम से जाना जाता है।

There were two reasons of the hurry of the author to return to his home. First was that his friend would have to report his wife after leaving to the author at his home and the second main reason was to avoid to the encounter of the snakes at the campus of University before gloom.

The bike rider crossed the destination of the author and went towards Tarnaka because he was a stranger and did not know the locations of the house of the author. So the author shouted and asked him to stop. Yet the author could not find his mistake but when he turned to say him goodbye then he shocked having seen stranger besides his friend and realised his mistake.
बाईक चलाने वाला लेखक के घर को पार करके, तारनाका की तरफ गया क्योंकि वह एक अजनबी था तथा लेखक के घर की सही जगह नहीं जानता था। इसलिए लेखक चिल्लाया और उसे रुकने के लिए कहा। यद्यपि लेखक को अपनी गलती पकड़ में नहीं आई लेकिन जब वह उसे अलविदा कहने के लिए मुड़ा तब उसे अपने दोस्त की बजाय एक अजनबी को देखकर अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ।

Ballu offered graciously to the author to drive him on his bike to his home because the house of the author was too far from there and it had become dark. Ballu loved the author very much because they were fast friends and would know to each other more than ten years and it was also the part of his hospitality to drive to the guests to their homes safely in order to get their love and blessings.
बल्लू ने उदारतापूर्वक लेखक को उसके घर तक अपनी बाईक पर छोड़ने का प्रस्ताव किया। क्योंकि लेखक का घर वहाँ से बहुत दूर था और अंधेरा हो चुका था। बल्लू लेखक को बहुत अधिक प्रेम करता था। क्योंकि वे दोनों एक-दूसरे को दस वर्षों से भी अधिक समय से जानते थे और यह उसकी मेहमाननवाजी का एक भाग था जिसमें मेहमानों को घर तक छोड़ना और उनका प्रेम व दुआएँ प्राप्त करना था।
