Find out by making a diagram
(i) Divide equal parts of a chapati among(RBSESolutions.com)five kids and find out how much part each will get?
(ii) Divide four chapties equally among three kids and find out how much part each will get?
Solution.
(i) If one chapti is equally divided among five kids. Each of them will get one fifth part i.e. \(\frac { 1 }{ 5 } \) or one by five part of chapati.
(ii) If four chapties equally divided among 3 kids. Each of them(RBSESolutions.com)will get one whole chapati and one-third i.e., \(\frac { 1 }{ 3 } \) or one by three part of fourth chapati. There fore each of them will get 1 + \(\frac { 1 }{ 3 } \) chapati.
