Solution:
Ratio of number of two wheelers to the number of cars :
= 24 : 60 = \(\frac { 24 }{ 60 } \) = \(\frac { 2 }{ 5 } \) = 2 : 5

2. Ratio of number of total (RBSESolutions.com) vehicles to the number of trucks
(24 + 60 + 40) : 4 = \(\frac { (24 + 60 + 40) }{ 40 } \)
= \(\frac { 124 }{ 40 } \) = \(\frac { 31 }{ 10 } \) = 31 : 10

3. Weight of car= 3300
pound weight of bicycle = 22 pound
According to question, required ratio
= 22 : 3300 = \(\frac { 22 }{ 3300 } \)
= \(\frac { 1 }{ 150 } \) = 1 : 150

Question 1.
Determine if the following (RBSESolutions.com) are in proportion
(i) 3 : 5 and 1 : 15
(ii) 4 : 12 and 9 : 27
(iii) Rs. 10, is to Rs. 15 and 4 is to 6
Solution:
(i) 3 : 5 = 1 : 15 = 3 × 15 = 5 × 1
45 ≠ 5
∴ 3 : 5 and 1 : 15 are not in proportion

(ii) 4 : 12 and 9 : 27
