Solution.
(i) + 32 – (+12) = 32 – 12 = 20
(ii) + 7 – (+15) = 7 – 15 = – 8
(iii) (-14) – (-20) = – 14 + 20 = 20 – 14 = 6
(iv) (-30) – (-15) = – 30 + 15 = 15 – 30 = – 15
(v) 23 – (-10) = 23 + 10 = 33

Filling the blanks with sign
(i)( -2) + (-9) = -2 -9 = – 11

(-21) + (-10) = – 21 – 10 = – 31

Solution.
(i) (-7) + (-4) + 11
= -7 -4 +11 = -11 + 11 = 0
(ii) (-12) + (-3) – (-4)
= -12 -3 + 4 = -15 + 4 = -11
(iii) 14 – 8 – (-2) = 14 – 8 + 2
= 14 + 2- 8= 16 – 8 = 8
(iv) (-24) + (-12) – (-8)
= -24 -12 + 8 = -36 + 8 = -28
