परीक्षा में कहानी-लेखन का एक प्रश्न पूछा जाता है । कहानी की पूर्ति करते समय निम्न बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए :
- कहानी की रूपरेखा (outline) को बार-बार पढ़कर उसको समझने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।
- घटनाओं के क्रम में कोई परिवर्तन किये बिना कहानी को अपनी भाषा में लिखनी चाहिए।
- कहानी को भूतकाल (Past Tense) में लिखना चाहिए।
- कहानी की पूर्ति करने के पश्चात् उसे दोहराकर व्याकरण तथा Spelling सम्बन्धी अशुद्धियों को ठीक कर देना चाहिए।
Write the following stories with the help of the given outlines :
(दी गयी रूपरेखाओं की सहायता से निम्नलिखित कहानियाँ लिखिये)
1. Union is Strength
An old man……….four sons. They.. quarrel………themselves. One day…………. calls………….take sticks. He asks. break the bundle. Everybody………….tried to break…………but none………….break it. Then the farmer………break…….bundle one by one. Everyone ………able to do so. The father….. “My sons if you are united……… enemy my ……… any harm.”
An old man had four sons They always quarrelled among themselves. One day he called his sons. He took a bundle of sticks. He asked each of his sons to break the bundle. Everyone of the four sons tried to break the bundle, but none of them could break it. Then the father asked his sons to break the sticks of the bundle one by one. Everyone was able to do so. The father said to his sons, “My sons, if you are united no enemy can do you any harm.”
Moral : United we stand, divided we fall.
हिन्दी अनुवाद – एक वृद्ध व्यक्ति के चार पुत्र थे वे हमेशा आपस में झगड़ा करते रहते थे एक दिन उसने अपने पुत्रों को बुलाया ! उसने लकड़ियों का एक गट्ठर लिया उसने अपने पुत्रों में से प्रत्येक से बण्डल तोड़ने के लिए कहा। चारों पुत्रों में से प्रत्येक ने बण्डल तोड़ने की कोशिश को लेकिन उनमें से कोई उसे न तोड़ सका । तब पिता ने । अपने पुत्रों से बण्डल की लकड़ियों को एक-एक करके तोड़ने के लिए कहा । प्रत्येक ऐसा करने में समर्थ हुआ। पिता ने अपने पुत्रों से कहा, “मेरे पुत्रो अगर तुम संगठित हो तो कोई दुश्मन तुमको कोई हानि नहीं पहुँचा सकता है।” शिक्षा-हम संगठित रहकर मुकाबला कर सकते हैं, किन्तु विभाजित होने पर हमारा पतन निश्चित है।
2. The Fox and the Grapes
Once a fox……..hungry…….. nothing……. It ……..in search of food. But it………get any thing to eat. At last…….. reaches a garden……there ……..uine of grap…….It…… bunches ………. hanging ………. uine ………..hts mouth …………to water. It………to get the grapes. It ……….uphen it………grapes it …….. to itself, ………are sour.”
Once there was a very hungry fox It had nothing to eat. It went here and there in search of food. But it could not get anything to eat. At last it reached a garden. There it saw bunches of grapes. They were hanging from a vine. Its mouth began to water to see them. It jumped at them. But they were very high. When it could not get the grapes, it said to itself, “These grapes are sour.”
Moral : Grapes out of reach are said to be sour.
हिन्दी अनुवाद – एक बार एक लोमड़ी बहुत भूखी थी । उसके पास खाने को कुछ नहीं था वह खाने की तलाश में इधर-उधर गई लेकिन वह खाने के लिए कुछ नहीं पा सकी अन्त में वह एक बाग में पहुँची वहाँ उसने अंगूर के गुच्छे देखे । वे बेल पर लटक रहे थे उनको देखकर उसके मुँह में पानी भर आया । वह उन पर उछली लेकिन वे बहुत ऊँचे थे। जब वह अंगूरों को नहीं पा सकी तो उसने अपने आप से कहा, “ये अंगूर खट्टे हैं।” शिक्षा-हाथ न आये अंगूर खट्टे बताये जाते हैं।
3. The Thirsty Crow
A thirsty crow………..looks for water ………. find……. it nounhere………..a pitcher …..a little upater at bottom……….drops pebbles into it……the water rises up….. drinks ……flies audy.
A crow was very thirsty It looked for water here and there. But it found it nowhere. At last it saw a pitcher. It flew to the pitcher. But there was only a little water in the pitcher. It was at the bottom. Its beak could not reach it. It thought of a plan. It collected some pebbles. It began to drop the pebbles into it. Soon the water rose up. It drank the water and flew away.
Moral : Where there is a will, there is a way.
हिन्दी अनुवाद – एक कौआ बहुत प्यासा था उसने इधर-उधर पानी तलाश किया। लेकिन वह इसे कहीं नहीं पा सका अन्त में उसने एक घड़ा देखा। वह उड़कर घड़े पर गया लेकिन घड़े में पानी थोड़ा था । यह तली में था उसकी चोंच उस तक नहीं पहुँच सकती थी उसने एक उपाय सोचा उसने कुछ कंकड़ एकत्रित किये वह उसमें कंकड़ डालने लगा जल्दी ही पानी ऊपर उठा उसने पानी पीया और उड़ गया। शिक्षा-जहाँ चाह, वहाँ राह।
4. The Elephant and the Tailor
An elephant….goes to drink water….. passes by a tailor’s shop…..gives a loaf daily …….. one day his son at shop……….prices a needle in his trunk…… elephant gets angry……..goes to the river………fills dirty water… throws in tailor’s shop……..spoils all the clothes.
Once there was an elephant He used to go to the river to drink water. On the way he passed by a tailor’s shop. The tailor used to give him a loaf of bread daily. One day the tailor was not at the shop. His son was sitting at the shop. He did not give anything to the elephant but he pricked a needle in his trunk. The elephant became angry. He went to the river bank. He filled dirty water in his trunk. He came to the tailor’s shop. He sprayed dirty water into the shop. He spoiled all the clothes.
Moral : Tit for tat.
हिन्दी अनुवाद – एक बार एक हाथी था वह नदी पर पानी पीने जाया करता था। रास्ते में वह एक दर्जी की दुकान से गुजरता था दर्जी प्रतिदिन उसे एक रोटी दे दिया करता था एक दिन दर्जी दुकान पर नहीं था उसको पुत्र दुकान पर बैठा हुआ था उसने हाथी को कुछ नहीं दिया बल्कि उसकी सैंड में एक सुई चुभा दी हाथी क्रोधित हो गया वह नदी के किनारे गया। उसने अपनी सँड़ में गन्दा पानी भरा वह दर्जी की दुकान पर आया उसने गन्दा पानी दुकान में छिड़क दिया। उसने सारे कपड़े खराब कर दिये शिक्षा-जैसे को तैसा।।
5. The Lion and the Mouse
A lion…..under a tree. A mouse comes and begins….the lion wakes up…… catches….tn his ……… paus……..upants to bill ……..the mouse requests……“Sir…….help…..” The lion …..pity…….the lion is caught……he begins torogr…..the mouse……helps him…..
A lion was sleeping under a tree A mouse came out of its hole. It began to move over the body of the lion. The lion woke up. He caught the mouse in his paws. He wanted to kill it. The mouse requested the lion, “Sir, let me live. I shall help you.” The lion took pity on it and set it free. After some days the lion was caught in a net. He began to roar. The mouse heard his roar. The mouse went there. It cut the net and made the lion free.
Moral : Do good and have good.
हिन्दी अनुवाद – एक शेर एक पेड़ के नीचे सो रहा था एक चूहा अपने बिल से बाहर आया वह शेर के शरीर पर घूमने लगा शेर जाग गया। उसने अपने पंजों से चूहे को पकड़ लिया वह उसे मारना चाहता था । चूहे ने शेर से प्रार्थना की, “श्रीमान्, मुझे जिन्दा रहने दो मैं तुम्हारी सहायता करूंगा।” शेर ने उस पर दया की और उसे छोड़ दिया। कुछ दिनों पश्चात् शेर एक जाल में पकड़ा गया । वह दहाड़ने लगा। चूहे ने उसकी दहाड़ सुनी चूहा वहाँ गया उसने जाल काट डाला और शेर को मुक्त किया। शिक्षा-भला करो, भला होगा।
6. The Capseller and the Monkeys
A capseller……. passing through a forest ……. bundle of caps………head……… tired ……..under a tree to take rest……..falls dsleep ……… wakes up……..finds his bundle empty ………monkeys on a tree……..cups on their heads……..thinks a plan………….tates of his cap and throus …… ground………….the monkeys ……….ground……… collects and goes away.
Once a capseller was going through a forest. A bundle of caps was on his head. He was very tired, so he sat down under a tree to take some rest. He lay down. He put the bundle under his head. Soon he fell asleep. After some time he woke up. He found his bundle empty. He saw that some monkeys were sitting in a tree. The caps were on their heads. He thought of a plan. He took off his cap. He threw it on the ground. The monkeys also threw caps on the ground. The capseller collected his caps and went away.
Moral : Wit triumphs where physical strength fails.
हिन्दी अनुवाद – एक बार एक टोपी बेचने वाला एक जंगल से होकर जा रहा था उसके सिर पर टोपियों का एक बण्डल था वह बहुत थका हुआ था, इसलिए वह कुछ आराम करने के लिए एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठ गया वह लेट गया उसने बण्डल को अपने सिर के नीचे रखा जल्दी ही वह सो गया कुछ समय बाद वह जागा उसने अपने बण्डल को खाली पाया उसने देखा कि कुछ बन्दर एक पेड़ पर बैठे हुए थे। उनके सिरों पर टोपियाँ थीं उसने एक तरकीब सोची उसने अपनी टोपी उतारी उसने इसे जमीन पर फेंका बन्दरों ने भी अपनी टोपियाँ जमीन पर फेंक दीं टोपी बेचने वाले ने अपनी टोपियाँ इकठ्ठी कीं और चला गया। शिक्षा-जहाँ शारीरिक शक्ति विफल हो जाती है, वहाँ बुद्धि सफल होती है।
