Solution.
RBSE Solutions for Class 8 Maths Chapter 3 Powers and Exponents Ex 3.2 11
Comparing the exponents(RBSESolutions.com)of same bases in both sides
– 9 = – 3x
or, x = \(\frac { -9 }{ -3 }\) = 3
(ii) 7x ÷ 7-3 = 75
7x ÷ 7-3 = 75
or, 7x-(-3) = 75
or, 7x+3 = 75
Comparing the exponents of same bases in both sides
∴ x ÷ 3 = 5
or, x = 5 – 3 = 2
(iii) (4)2x+1 ÷ 16 = 64
(4)2x+1 ÷ 16 = 64
or, (4)2x+1 ÷ (4)2 = 64
or, 42x+1-2 = 43
or, 42x-1 = 43
Comparing the exponents(RBSESolutions.com)of same bases in both sides
∴ 2x – 1 = 3
or, 2x = 3 + 1 =4
or, \(x=\frac { 4 }{ 2 }=2\)
